--------------We wrapped up a project back in July on a cool graphic gig for Intel. They are using the graphics in union with a piece of technology that will be announced this week at the IDF show in SF. The project took roughly a week long and Creative Session was brought on to do a huge 8ft by 24ft set design of San Francisco. The requirement was to capture a panoramic view of SF, then collage in some significant landmarks and graphically treat the final design with some Creative Session spices.
In conceptualizing our design, we wanted to capture the cliche touristy imagery of SF because the attendee's who will be seeing the huge mural come from all over the world. It'd be quite tough to realize SF if we had captured the more intimate street views of San Fran. We also didn't want to be fully cheesy so we added neat locations into the mix (cars&bird) that appeal to us.
Also wanted to articulate the unique weather patterns we love as the San Francisco experience. If you look carefully the fog clears from the left side of the graphic to the right, you should faintly see the Golden Gate Bridge hiding behind the thick clouds. Some of the more recognizable clearer details are the street signs, public transportation, billboards, Coit Tower, Twin Peaks and various sculptures found on Embarcadero.
The graphic will be on display @ the Moscone Center downtown San Francisco. Its a private event so im pretty sure most of us will not have the opportunity to see it in person. Last night the crew got a chance to come watch Intel set up and observe the staff members set up proper lighting and test out Intel's soon to be revealed future of photography.
Intel printed 2000 shirts for the event using a cropped portion of the final design! We got to leave with about 5 as souvenir.
Posing under that IDF BANNER!! look how cute Keith looks!
and... HERE IS THE FINAL DESIGN!

* UPDATES *
This is exciting to us over at the CreativeSession lab. The recent wrap-up on a graphic project with Intel had mad love thank you everyone for reading and having a beer with us when it all was over. Back in July we were approached by them to design a huge- 8ft by 24ft collage of San Francisco's landscaped used for a future camera concept they demoed at IDF (intel developers forum)
IDF had just ended and some highlight reels have surfaced from the company! Here is a highlight video from day one:
at about 0:50 second you can see a glimpse of the wall. & at 1:20 second you see our friend Lucas demo'ing the product.
