Intel x CreativeSession
--------------We wrapped up a project back in July on a cool graphic gig for Intel. They are using the graphics in union with a piece of technology that will be announced this week at the IDF show in SF. The project took roughly a week long and Creative Session was brought on to do a huge 8ft by 24ft set design of San Francisco. The requirement was to capture a panoramic view of SF, then collage in some significant landmarks and graphically treat the final design with some Creative Session spices.
In conceptualizing our design, we wanted to capture the cliche touristy imagery of SF because the attendee's who will be seeing the huge mural come from all over the world. It'd be quite tough to realize SF if we had captured the more intimate street views of San Fran. We also didn't want to be fully cheesy so we added neat locations into the mix (cars&bird) that appeal to us.
Also wanted to articulate the unique weather patterns we love as the San Francisco experience. If you look carefully the fog clears from the left side of the graphic to the right, you should faintly see the Golden Gate Bridge hiding behind the thick clouds. Some of the more recognizable clearer details are the street signs, public transportation, billboards, Coit Tower, Twin Peaks and various sculptures found on Embarcadero.
The graphic will be on display @ the Moscone Center downtown San Francisco. Its a private event so im pretty sure most of us will not have the opportunity to see it in person. Last night the crew got a chance to come watch Intel set up and observe the staff members set up proper lighting and test out Intel's soon to be revealed future of photography.
Intel printed 2000 shirts for the event using a cropped portion of the final design! We got to leave with about 5 as souvenir.
Posing under that IDF BANNER!! look how cute Keith looks!
and... HERE IS THE FINAL DESIGN!

* UPDATES *
This is exciting to us over at the CreativeSession lab. The recent wrap-up on a graphic project with Intel had mad love thank you everyone for reading and having a beer with us when it all was over. Back in July we were approached by them to design a huge- 8ft by 24ft collage of San Francisco's landscaped used for a future camera concept they demoed at IDF (intel developers forum)
IDF had just ended and some highlight reels have surfaced from the company! Here is a highlight video from day one:
at about 0:50 second you can see a glimpse of the wall. & at 1:20 second you see our friend Lucas demo'ing the product.

ACG Lunar Lite "For Kicks & Giggles"
SHARE THIS ON YOUR FACEBOOK IF YOU'D ROCK THESE! ;) Like most of you out there I'm a "sneaker freak," it's an exciting hobby that continues to dig deep holes in my non existent pockets. I was born and raised in Portland Oregon a town where EVERYONE has access to the "ES." What's the ES? It's the street term for the Nike Employee store, extremely exciting if you ask me! At 40-50% off new Nike releases, I was inhaling multiple pairs of sneakers on the weekly!
Anywho, back to my creative assets. As an industrial designer I've been blessed with the opportunity to work with a few fresh names out there including Nike, Adidas, Puma, Pearl Izumi, etc... but unfortunately designing sneakers on a daily basis isn't my cup of tea... So here i am, rocking out a fresh pair for kicks and giggles!
Let's be honest, ACGs are off-road/trail shoes that are mostly worn on the streets... so why not fuse 'em with some street friendly light weight sneaker materials and finish! :)
THE BEGINNING OF AN EXCITING EXPERIMENT!
FINAL SKETCH/PHOTOSHOP RENDERING.
DISSECTING THE SNEAKER.
FINAL FRESHNESS!
Enjoy 'em and thanks for look'n! -Anh or Bi :)
CREATIVEsession x COLD SHOWDA x BASTA "Unseen Supreme"
As you know CreativeSession is about the creative collaboration with all forms of art making. This time around Keith hopped on a project with Dj Basta & Cold Showda in designing the graphics for their latest Mixtape "Unseen Supreme" Download here "Unseen Supreme" The collaboration took roughly a months time, during this period Keith spent time getting to know their music and setting up mini offsite photo shoots via antique fairs and small flea markets. The distinguished white van on the cover was the result of these photoshoots.
Cold Showda KICKIN IT:
Last night Anh, Keith and I drove to Oakland to hang out with Basta and Cold Showda to film the wrap-up video of our creative SESSION. We all had a good time, always good to network. We took a few more shots of Keith working with these guys so we can put together this sweet promo video.

Keith of CreativeSession just finished the design of "Unseen Supreme's" Mixtape. The collaboration took about a month between Keith, Dj Basta & Cold Showda
We just spent last night hanging out at the studio filming Basta, Cold Showda & Keith chatting about the process and kicking it.

These are various shots taking through out the night (tell me they're not sweet!) The photographs where taking by a long time friend Paul Vu who runs his own joint called Paul Vu Photography. You can find his portfolio here Make sure you come back in a few days we've got an exclusive interview with Paul and stay tuned for the Intel project that Paul became involved in. He's responsible for the ultra high resolution images used within the project.
Bi of CRE SES. Stink Face.
If you all know us intimately you know that we like to mess around with our friends. A common thing we see from Bi of creative session is his stink face! You see it in photos, videos, even when you hang out with him! Embrace the FACE! Understand it's love not HATE!
Lost my CRAFT!
Horsing around on the inter-web late last night I came upon this wonderful site called INVENTORY. I really appreciate these guys because they remind me a little bit of CREATIVEsession in how they connect with people. They reach out to creative cats whom are makers to awesome shit. These makers are fk*n talented check em out when you get a chance. I've linked their mission statement towards the end of the posting.
Back to my original agenda which was to write about; "CRAFT" The following image was taken from Inventory's site. There are many reasons why I saved this image so Im using it as my blogspiration. (coining this term now!)
1. I feel the chaos and clutter is a good visual representation of my brain. I swear I think of so many things at once I cant really retain half the Ideas that comes into this factory of mine. Although never forgotten they linger and build up like the colorful spools of thread. (i know my thoughts are colorful)
2.I like my home to be organized & clean but at work I expect this. Scraps and boxes and little science experiments everywhere. Unfinished projects that needs a little bit of love & new projects inspired by the random junk sitting around. My work life is a 9 to 5 in front of a computer screen that's complimented by 8.5 x 11 sheets of white paper that I get to doodle on-on occasion. Mostly I do computer CAD work and it kills me (sometimes). I feel like I'm losing my sense of craftiness- the excitement of making , then destroying and rebuilding again. I like the clutter and the chaos and feel like we need to take a step back in our daily routine and remember the craft.
(pours Hennessy on ground to CRAFT)
A little about INVENTORY: ( Taken Via SITE) INVENTORY was created as an extension of the culture and lifestyle we're a part of. We value products and clothing for more than just their appearance, admiring how they're made, by whom, and why. It's through this passion and attention to detail that we view the things in our lives from a different perspective. With a hunger and willingness to learn, we search for the rare, unknown and new, while always remembering tradition and the past. It is with this blend in mind that we explore various niches in menswear to create our own unique aesthetic. We focus on the brands and people, big or small, that have stories we want to tell and might otherwise go unnoticed. INVENTORY's unique content draws us out of our immediate surroundings and leads us into a world of exciting and interesting things.
INVENTORY is a place to take stock of the items, brands and people that we connect with and find special. With a genuine appreciation for details and quality, INVENTORY is a curation of ideas in product, craft and culture.

SparkFire "Quit Daydreaming"
Been thinking about how to improve the design of our latest poster/shirt design as a whole. I'm starting to feel as if this design will only exist as a poster- I can't really see this on a shirt.. maybe i should sleep on it. (note: this is a quick draft so some of the shapes have not been filled in correctly. ) check her:

Earn Your Stripes Iphone 4 CASE
YOU KNOW IT IS HAPPENING: We've been experimenting with iPhone accessories over at our CRESES lab. Jumping it all off is this transparent "Earn Your Stripes" version. We've been getting a lot of love for this design and we'd like to bring it back as much as we can.
-Soft touch Colors are next. We're looking for really good quality soft touch cases to have this done. Stay tune.

Color, Composition and Beauty
As I rushed out of the office last Friday to beat rush hour traffic and to catch a flight PDX bound so I can attend the loveliest wedding ever. I took one last sip of coffee for the extra kick I needed to make it through the night! I left a shallow glaze of coffee in my cup! To my pleasant surprise- Monday morning I'm greeted with this pretty darkly stained @ the bottom of my cup. The gradation between the dark and the light areas reflecting on the white ceramic cup is quite pretty I'm hesitant to wash it.

UPDATES* Distinguished Anarchy
Its time to have a MINTY logo.
D&A - Logo Round 1
The family Drew Soto Amado up in PDX reached out to us a few weeks back to talk about starting a prestigious gentlemen clothing label called "Distinguished Anarchy" We kicked around a few ideas, store concepts and his mission statement:
“Distinguished Anarchy is a prestigious gentlemen brand emphasizing urban living (lifestyle). Drawing inspiration from various outlets to provoke thought, you can expect Distinguished Anarchy's products to be carefully crafted, sensitive to current events, sophisticated yet playful. chivalry prevails- stay gentle-man."
Although this is rather an early stage for Drew to be showing any product we've been banging out logo ideas for the brand. Check out some of the early concepts (they may or may not change.)
